Limited Edition: One Plus 6 x Marvel Studio’s Avengers

After announcing that OnePlus 6’s launch event will be held on May 17 in Beijing, OnePlus released another exciting news today for both OnePlus and Marvel fans. Its official Weibo account announced this morning that it will be working with Marvel and their “Avengers: Infinity War” team to create an OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers limited edition phone.

According to a video released by Android Central, OnePlus has customized a Superhero series, with the Avengers logo printed on the back of the phone.

The configurations and appearance of OnePlus 6 match with earlier reports by Pandaily. It will be equipped with the notch design, dual cameras and fingerprint recognition at the back, with Android 8.1 system pre-installed. The 8GB ram and 256 GB storage version will have the Snapdragon 845 processor.

Some netizens asked about the pricing of OnePlus 6 under OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau’s Weibo post. He replied saying that the price starts with the number four, indicating that its price tage in China would exceed 4000 yuan ($631).

Liu Zuohu posted an article titled “Our Approach to Honest Design” in the OnePlus Forum, explaining the design details of OnePlus 6.

In the letter, Lau says: “Appearance-wise, we’ve always maintained our signature horizon line and precise curve to the back of the device, and we’ve also tried to incorporate glass materials on OnePlus 6. The way glass transforms under different lighting is a particularly important challenge – the OnePlus design team tested over 70 glass prototypes before selecting the best one.”
