Meitu T9 is equipped with a 6.01 inch Sumsung AMOLED screen with 2160 x 1080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on an Snapdragon octo-core processor with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. The four color options are green, red, pink and blue.
The main selling point of Meitu products has long been its camera. This time, Meitu T9 packed dual cameras on the front and back. The main cameras are all 12 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture and Sony IMX363 sensors supporting OIS optical image stabilization. The secondary cameras are all 5 megapixels and responsible for the processing of depth of field information.
Many AI technologies have been used in the newly released Meitu T9 to achieve better beautifying and image processing effects. All of these technologies were developed by the MTlab, which was established in 2010 for the R&D of cutting-edge imaging technologies.
Meitu also announced that it will enter the chip field after unveiling its self-developed MT-AI image processing chip, which increases both the image processing speed and R&D efficiency.
The MT-AI chip is believed to support the image format conversion from RAW to JPG, which guarantees DSLR quality with higher resolution and more details in the images, while maintaining a small file size.
