Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha: The First All-Around ‘Surround’ Display Phone
These days, many flagship smartphones feature curved AMOLED displays to create an impression of bezel-less handsets with a larger screen that falls over the edges. Besides, foldable phones, such as Huawei Mate X and Samsung Galaxy Fold, make huge displays when unfolded. Xiaomi, on the other hand, equipped its new Mi MIX Alpha 5G flagship phone with an innovative screen called Surround Display that wraps around its entire body, and can offer an immersive experience to the users. Its screen-to-body ratio reaches more than 180.6%.
Xiaomi Concept Camera Phone with a World Debut 108MP Camera
The other major highlight is that the new concept phone Mi Mix Alpha features the world’s first 108MP camera. This camera phone comes with triple camera set up on the back panel, including a primary 108MP Samsung HMX sensor, a 20MP wide-angle camera, and a 12MP camera for clicking portrait shots. There’s no front camera since you can simply use the rear camera and the display on the back to take selfies.
By now there are no confirmed news whether Xiaomi’s Mi MIX Alpha will be in mass production. However, Xiaomi has said it will produce a limited batch of the new concept 5G phone by the end of 2019.
