miHoYo to Test New Game Zenless Zone Zero on August 5

Shanghai-based video game developer miHoYo announced on July 22 that it will start small-scale closed beta testing with deleted files for a new game called “Zenless Zone Zero” at 10:00 on August 5. The test will end at 23:59 on July 27, 2022.

Zenless Zone Zero is still under research and development, and the tested content does not represent its final quality. The tests are only for PC and iOS, as the Android version is unavailable due to adaptation failures.

Zenless Zone Zero is a 3D role-playing action game. The game features a main storyline, and branch storylines. Players can promote the storyline through video tapes, key commissions, and free commissions, among other features. No social networking is available in the game, and only a small amount of text-based personal interface elements are displayed.

In May this year, miHoYo release the first trailer for Zenless Zone Zero, and initiated test recruitment, attracting over 2 million users.

According to public information, miHoYo has several games in its reserves, such as Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 4 Galaxy, Zenless Zone Zero, and a mysterious new work called “Cochel Frontline,” which suddenly won approval from Chinese authorities.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of HoYoverse, a global interactive entertainment brand owned by miHoYo, was recently opened in Singapore. The Singapore office will house a dedicated team of professionals and provide high-quality entertainment services worldwide.
