BEIJING, Dec. 9 – Mobvoi has launched the TicNote Pods, claiming them to be the world's first 4G AI recording earbuds. A key innovation is their ability to operate independently from a smartphone, powered by a built-in "4G eSIM" and the company's proprietary "Shadow AI" engine.
The earbuds feature a dual-channel recording system that captures audio both through the earbuds themselves and via the charging case, which is designed to be placed on a table for optimal ambient sound pickup. This design targets core conversational scenarios such as online meetings, academic lectures, interviews, and phone calls. The product is currently seeking funding and pre-orders on the Kickstarter platform.
