After the release of the iQOO 10 smartphone series on the evening of July 19, William Lu, Partner of Xiaomi and General Manager of the Redmi brand, began to stir up anticipation for a new smartphone in the Redmi K50 series.

Up to now, the Redmi K50 series has three models – the K50 E-Sports Edition, K50 and K50 Pro – which are equipped with Snapdragon Gen 1, Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000 chipsets, respectively.

According to the updates given by William Lu, the last model of the Redmi K50 series will be released soon, suspected to be named the Redmi K50 Ultra. Lu emphasized that the new device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, while the Redmi Note will achieve faster charging speeds.

Popular Chinese tech blogger with Weibo nickname “Digital Chat Station” has also said that a device equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 platform will be released in August, and there will be a new model in the Redmi Note series later.
