NIO Delivers 3,965 Vehicles in August, Year-on-year Growth Mounts 104%
Leading Chinese premium electric vehicle maker NIO delivered a total of 3,965 units in August, a year-on-year increase of 104.1%, setting a new monthly high.
Among them, NIO delivered 1,125 ES8 units in August, up 670.5% year-on-year. The delivery volume of the NIO ES6 totaled 2,840 units this month, achieving a month-on-month increase for two consecutive months, up 58% year-on-year.
In 2020, NIO has so far completed the delivery of 21,667 units. It is reported that NIO’s entire supply chain capacity increase has been completed.
Li Bin, the founder and CEO of NIO, said, “In August, our delivery volume and new orders reached new highs. With the continuous increase in production capacity across the supply chain, our monthly production capacity will reach 5,000 units in September, providing a guarantee for subsequent deliveries.”
According to global automobile sales and retail data, the NIO ES6 ranked first in the SUV category in the global luxury pure electric sales rankings in the second quarter of this year. At the same time, as of July this year, the NIO ES6 topped the list of pure electric SUV sales for 10 consecutive months.

NIO has opened 151 stores across the country, including 22 NIO Houses and 129 NIO Spaces, and its sales network covers 91 cities across the country. At the same time, NIO continues to deploy power stations and has built 145 in total.
