NIO ES7 to Be Released on June 15

Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer NIO will hold an online press conference on the evening of June 15 to release its brand-new SUV – ES7.

Simultaneously, the company is expected to release its 2022 ES6, EC6, and ES8 models online, as well as its intelligent cockpit hardware upgrade schemes for old models, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, intelligent gateway, high-definition camera and 5G module.

The ES7 model has been officially declared by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Based on the NT2.0 technology platform, it is positioned as a medium-large five-seat SUV. The vehicle’s intelligence level is consistent with that of the firm’s ET5 and ET7 models, which will be delivered within this year. The length, width and height of the new car are 4912mm, 1987mm and 1720mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2960mm.

In addition, official documents show that the ES7 model will have five range versions, including 440 km, 485 km, 450 km, 620 km and 575 km, with three different battery packs of 70 kWh, 75 kWh and 100 kWh.

In terms of appearance, it adopts the latest family-style X-Bar design language. In terms of performance, the NIO ES7 adopts the four-wheel drive layout of front and rear dual motors. The maximum power of the motor is 180kW/300kW, the total power of the system is 480kW, and the total torque is 850 N • m, which is basically consistent with NIO‘s ET7 models.

The model adopts a combination of the laser radar and watchtower-type camera carried on the roof. It will reportedly be equipped with the standard configuration of NT2.0 autonomous driving hardware as well as expensive configurations with functions such as 7.1.4 immersive audio studio monitor System, soft-closing automatic electric suction door and seat massage.

NIO delivered a total of 7,024 new cars in May, achieving both monthly and annual increases. The firm delivered 1,707 ET7 models that month. By the end of May 2022, the firm had delivered 204,936 new cars. The company said that with the supply chain enterprises’ resumption of production, it is expected that production will further resume in June, and the delivery of its models including ET7 will speed up.
