NIO’s New ES8 Tops 30,000 Deliveries in 89 Days, Setting a Record for Premium Electric Vehicles

NIO has set a new benchmark in the premium EV market with the rapid delivery ramp-up of its latest flagship SUV.
On December 18, 2025, NIO announced that deliveries of the all-new ES8 surpassed 30,000 units just 89 days after official deliveries began, setting the fastest record for pure electric vehicles priced above $57,500.
The all-new ES8 electric SUV was launched on September 20 and is offered at a vehicle purchase price ranging from $57,500 to $63,200. Under NIO’s battery subscription (BaaS) program, prices range from $42,200 to $47,800. The lineup includes three variants: the six-seat Executive Luxury, six-seat Executive Signature, and seven-seat Executive Luxury editions.
The ES8 measures 5,280 mm in length with a 3,130 mm wheelbase. Inside, it features a Skyline panoramic display, a floating central touchscreen, and an upgraded NOMI intelligent assistant system, complemented by a total of 111 physical buttons throughout the cabin.
Powering the vehicle is NIO’s 900V high-voltage architecture, paired with a dual-motor system delivering a combined peak output of 520 kW. The ES8 accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.97 seconds. It comes standard with a 102 kWh 4C battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 635 km. NIO also plans to introduce a self-developed 120 kWh battery supporting 5C ultra-fast charging in the future.
