Nothing to Release Phone (1) on July 12

London-based consumer electronics firm Nothing announced it will release its second product, the Nothing Phone (1), at 23:00 on July 12, Beijing time. “It’s our first smartphone, and our most important product,” the company wrote.

Nothing is a technology brand founded by Carl Pei, the co-founder of smartphone brand OnePlus, and the Nothing Phone (1) is its first smartphone. An announcement said the launch would be “the real start of Nothing’s journey. To make tech fun again. And an invitation to unlearn everything the industry has taught us.”

According to previous reports, the Nothing Phone (1) features a 6.55-inch OLED display panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

This smartphone adopts a straight screen design. All four sides are equally wide and extremely narrow, especially the chin part. In addition, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 778G and may offer at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Nothing Phone (1) is likely to be pre-installed with a customized system based on the latest Android 12. It has 50MP main camera (OIS) and a transparent back shell.

The new device also has a 4500mAh/5000mAh battery, and supports fast charging through USB Type-C port, and NFC.
