OnePlus 10 Ultra Design Leaked: Periscope Lens and MariSilicon X Chip
Just weeks after Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus released a new model, the OnePlus 10 Pro, news regarding the OnePlus 10 Ultra has now been leaked. The latest design confirms that the company is expected to bring more flagship products to the market in the near future.
The leaked smartphone design features a lens set similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, which is highly recognizable in shape, but their specifications are quite different.
In addition to the two circular lenses, the new model is equipped with a long square-shaped lens. This is a periscope telephoto lens, which OnePlus has not yet applied to its smartphone products.
The OnePlus 10 Ultra is expected to be equipped with a MariSilicon X chip developed by OPPO, which is manufactured by the TSMC 6nm process. It is a 6nm mobile independent imaging NPU, integrating multi-tier memory architecture, which minimizes delays and reduces power consumption caused by unnecessary repeated read-write cycles. The MariSilicon X has a dedicated DDR with extra bandwidth of up to 8.5 GB/s.
Compared with typical NPUs, this MariSilicon X imaging chip has better performance. It has 18 trillion operations per second (TOPS), more than enough computing power to support AI algorithms. With a power efficiency of 11.6 TOPS per watt, the NPU delivers high quality performance without draining battery.
With the support of MariSilicon X, OnePlus 10 Ultra should have an excellent video shooting ability, especially in dark environments. Its brightness and color performance are also expected to show improvements.
