OnePlus 7 Series Likely to Come Out in a Month with Three Versions

Rumors suggest that Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus will launch its next flagship model OnePlus 7 in three versions – the standard, Pro, and Pro 5G, with a possible release date of May 15, as shown in leaked photos. However, whether the 5G edition will be launched on the same date remains unknown.

OnePlus 7 is expected to have a 6.5-inch screen with Optic AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass and a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080, all same as OnePlus 6T. It will also be equipped with Snapdragon 855, 8GB of RAM and storage of 128GB and up.

The dimensions of the new model are suggested to be 6.35*3.00*0.35 inch, which will make it thicker and taller than its predecessor. In terms of camera, the back will carry three cameras of 48 MP, 20 MP and 5 MP, where the 48 MP camera can support Optical Image Stabilization and Auto Focus while the 5 MP camera is a depth sensor.

OnePlus 7 Pro, the first Pro version from OnePlus, will have similar specs as OnePlus 7, but with a bigger screen, a possible 6.67-inch.

There’re rumors that OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 modem, which according to Qualcomm is the most advanced commercial multi-mode 5G modem in the world. But that also means the phone will adopt Snapdragon 865 SoC, which won’t be available till early next year. The pair of Snapdragon 855 and X50 modem is more likely.

Price-wise, OnePlus 7 will come at a similar price as OnePlus 6T, and $100 more for 7 Pro, $300 more for 7 Pro 5G, roughly.
