OnePlus Founder Pete Lau Joins OPPO’s Co-investor as Senior Vice President, Remains as OnePlus CEO

Pete Lau will serve as senior vice president and chief product experience officer of Guangdong Oujia Holdings Co., Ltd. and will still retain his role as CEO of OnePlus, according to OPPO and OnePlus.

Oujia is a co-investor of OPPO, OnePlus and Realme. It provides support to the three Chinese smartphone makers in the fields of investment, supply chain and manufacturing.

Lau was previously rumored to be returning to OPPO as senior vice president and chief product experience officer. Lau joined OPPO after graduating from college in 1998 and was promoted to the head of OPPO marketing. In 2013, Lau left OPPO and founded OnePlus. Both companies are backed by BBK Electronics.
