Although Samsung was in the lead, OnePlus was right on its tail with a very competitive 33 percent market share.
According to Counterpoint Research’s latest analysis on the Indian smartphone market, shipments of the premium smartphone segment reached a historical high in one quarter (Q4 2018) and one year (2018).
The overall premium segment grew by 8 percent year-on-year for the full year of 2018 and 16 percent year-on-year for Q4 2018.
The feat was largely driven by the strong demand of the latest OnePlus 6T during Diwali festive season. The momentum continued to soar post-season due to strong word-of-mouth and product feedback from users.
