OPPO Announces Winners For Creators Awards

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO announced the winners of its global photography awards named “See Beyond” Creator Awards on July 31.

The award-winning artwork “Fish are diving” captured a moment when a little boy jumped into the sea to chill out. “Smartphone photography will be more and more popular as it makes it easy to capture the most natural and authentic shots,” grand prize-winner Nan Shan said.

OPPO started the program in May to motivate global photography lovers to capture moments with the most portable cameras they have — mobile phones. As smartphones are becoming cheaper and better, photography is no longer an exclusive experience for those who can afford professional cameras.

Thousands of participants shared their creations of various themes, including Night, Creativity, Landscape and People as well as an Open category. Judges included Magnum photographers such as Paolo Pellegrin and Lua Ribeira.

Winners will get cash prizes, an opportunity to join the OPPO Photography Talent Program, or OPPO Reno 10x Zoom phones. Those who join the Photography Talent Program will be able to learn from world leading photographers to increase their professional skills.

OPPO smartphones are known for great camera performance. The company’s latest smartphone, Reno 10x Zoom, is equipped with a triple-lens setup, 10x Hybrid Zoom, and other camera focused technology.
