OPPO Find N: Firm’s First Folding Screen Flagship, To Be Released December 15
On Thursday, Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer of OPPO and founder of OnePlus, announced the new OPPO Find N on Weibo, which is the first folding screen smartphone offered by the company and will be officially released on its INNO DAY event on December 15.
The announcement mentioned that as the first folding screen flagship built by OPPO after four years and six generations, the Find N model will adopt new self-developed hinge and screen technology, making breakthroughs in solving various folding screen industry problems, such as creases and durability. While showing a powerful performance, the Find N has unique size and proper weight, making it comfortable to hold and close. From the side view picture of the new machine unveiled by him, it is likely that the new machine adopts the inner folding design.
Lau also added that in April 2018, the first generation prototype of the Find N was produced, and the team chose to continue polishing. In this process, OPPO adhered to two basic principle: one is that the product must be beautiful, and the other is that the product must be user-friendly.
He said that the Find N aims to “discover a new possibility.” The industry is seeing a new change in smartphones, which is an experience revolution brought about by form innovation and a reshuffling of the industry. The Find N is OPPO’s answer to this change for four years.

In terms of configuration, OPPO did not release more information. Combined with the previous news of digital blogger with username ‘@Digital Chat Station’, the OPPO Find N may not adopt the latest Snapdragon 8Gn1 chip, but will use the previous generation Snapdragon 888 chip. In addition, the new model will come as standard with 12GB of large memory and support up to 512GB of storage space. At the same time, it is equipped with 4500 mAh battery and 65W wired fast charging, and also supports wireless fast charging.
As for the screen, the tipster also said that OPPO Find N will adopt Samsung Amoled flexible screen for the inner screen with a punch-hole. The screen parameters are excellent, supporting a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the resolution is also improved to 2K. The external screen uses curved screen, which will also has a punch-hole. Meanwhile, the configuration of the external screen is reduced, supporting 60 Hz refresh rate and only reaching 1080P resolution.
