OPPO Launches New OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition Smartphone to Celebrate Renewed Partnership
Chinese smartphone maker OPPO today launched a new special edition OPPO Reno mobile phone in cooperation with Spanish professional football club, FC Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain.

OPPO and FC Barcelona renewed their ongoing partnership today at the home stadium of FCB, Camp Nou, whereby the smartphone company will continue to be one of the club’s Global Partners for the next three seasons, through to June 30, 2022. In celebration of the alliance, OPPO unveiled a special edition OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition smartphone, which features the blaugrana colors and different functionalities created especially for the club’s fans.
The new OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition features a gold FCB logo on the back cover, which gives off a golden shimmer when light is reflected onto it. According to OPPO, the stunning gleam was achieved with a first-of-its-kind manufacturing technique in the industry where the middle frame gradient is oxidized multiple times. The phone also comes with customized software features such as Barça screensavers and icons, and ringtones including the Barça anthem and sounds from the stadium.
Aside from the various customizations, the special edition OPPO Reno is rocking the same configuration and specs as its regular counterparts, featuring a panoramic screen with a hybrid 10x zoom for the capture of high-precision images, and Ultra Night Mode 2.0, which produces vivid colors and clear quality in dark settings.
The renewal of the agreement was joined by Josep Pont, member of the FC Barcelona board and head of the Commercial Area, and Alen Wu, Global Vice President, President of Overseas Business at OPPO, among several other representatives of the two parties. The event was also joined by former Brazilian star and Barça ambassador, Juliano Belletti.
“I am so proud today to announce the renewal of our partnership agreement and to start a new era together, in which we shall continue to work on new projects to generate unique and innovative experiences that will bring us even closer to our fans around the world,” said Pont.
The extended agreement between FC Barcelona and OPPO has been made possible thanks to the close and successful cooperation built between the two over the last four years, which forms part of the club’s goal of proactively sourcing partners that are aligned with its own brand-defining values and philosophy.
As a result of this agreement, FC Barcelona and OPPO will be working together in different areas, such as digital branded content to raise engagement among the fans and TV advertising, among others.

The new phone will be retailing at €899 starting July 26 across Europe and China.
Since 2015, when it began its relationship with FC Barcelona, OPPO has launched four special Barça editions of its smartphones one in 2015, one in 2016, and two in 2017.
