Chinese smartphone maker OPPO officially announced on Monday that its Reno8 series smartphones will be released at 19:00 on May 23.
OPPO released a video to officially start marketing the newest lineup of smart phones. In the preview video, an “X” appears on screen for about 5 to 11 seconds, suggesting the devices will adapt the MariSilicon X imaging NPU. This chip was previously applied in the OPPO Find X5 series, and it is the world’s first imaging chip manufactured using the high-end 6nm process.
According to well-known digital blogger “Digital Chatting Station“, the new OPPO Reno8 series will still be made available in three versions: Reno8, Reno8 Pro and Reno8 Pro +, and will be equipped, in order, with the MediaTek Dimensity 1300, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and Dimensity 8100-Max chipsets.
The blogger also revealed that the OPPO Reno8 Pro + will adopt a 6.7-inch FHD + OLED screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. In terms of imaging, the machine will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 lens in the front and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 triple camera setup on the back. In addition, it will be equipped with a 4500mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging, a X-axis transverse linear motor, NFC capabilities and dual stereo speakers.
