On December 1, a number of Chinese new energy automobile enterprises announced their new vehicle deliveries data for the month of November. Performance varies, but most achieved year-on-year sales growth. Chinese Battery Giant CATL Jumps Into Battle for Major Mining Firm

Chinese Research Team Devises Method for Hydrogen Generation Directly From Seawater
On November 30, Xie Heping, a Chinese mechanics and energy engineering scientist, along with Shenzhen University and Sichuan University’s doctoral team under his supervision, published a paper entitled “A membrane-based seawater electron for hydrogen generation” in Nature, which has solved an important problem of hydrogen production by direct electrolysis of seawater.
Fatal Car Accident in China Involving Tesla Model Y Stirs Controversy
On the afternoon of November 28, a collision between multiple vehicles occurred in Taizhou, China’s Zhejiang Province. During the accident, a Tesla Model Y collided with two cars, causing two deaths, one injury, and serious damage to all vehicles involved. Local police have not disclosed the cause of this accident. Given that Tesla vehicles have had many traffic accidents recently in which the car has been suspected of losing control, many Chinese web users suspect that this Model Y also experienced such problems.
DJI Osmo Action 3 Camera Sees Upgrades Including 10-Bit Color Support
Shenzhen-based drone company DJI released its Osmo Action 3 camera earlier this year, supporting up to 4K/120 frames of video and with an ultra-wide viewing angle of 155 degrees. When the device first hit the shelves, consumers’ biggest regret was probably its lack of 10-bit color support. On November 30, however, DJI released a firmware update for the Osmo Action 3, adding a 10-bit color mode with 1,024 levels of grayscale, up to 1.07 billion colors, more uniform color, and less prone to faults.

Chinese battery maker CALB announced on November 30 that it will immediately stop selling products that infringe on the patent rights of a rival, CATL, and compensate the latter 2.96 million yuan ($417,577).
