Photos of Honor Pad 8 Released
Shenzhen-based smartphone brand Honor will hold a product launch event on July 21 after the company’s has recentlly released a special “1-yuan ($0.15) reservation” on its offcial online store for the new Honor Pad 8. The company also released a video on July 14 that revealed the appearance of the new tablet.

The video shows that the Honor Pad 8 adopts a right-angle frame design, with left and right speakers and USB-C jack at the bottom, and a long, oval-shaped camera module on the rear of the body. The camera module is prominent, while the body of the tablet appears as a light golden color with an HONOR logo lying in the middle of the rear cover.
As the promotional video shows, the Honor Pad 8 can be used as an auxiliary monitoring device suggesting that the new tablet may have special features in regard to audio and video recording capabilities.
According to the product’s reservation information page, the display of the Honor Pad 8 is 12 inches while Weibo tipster “Wangzai Baishitong” posted that the the model will be equipped with Snapdragon 680 chipset, a 2K resolution display and will support 22.5W fast charging.
The Qualcomm 680 4G mobile platform is built based on the 6nm process and is equipped with four A73 cores and four A53 cores. The chipset can provide an all-day long use, including optimized gaming performance and triple ISP with AI-enhanced low-light capture technology.
In addition, according to the promotional pamphlets released by the company, the forthcoming launch conference will introduce a variety of new products, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs and TWS headphones.
