Photos of IM Motors’ LS7 SUV Interior Decoration Exposed
IM Motors, a joint venture between SAIC and Alibaba, exhibited its concept car, IM LS7, at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. This model is scheduled to be mass-produced in 2022 and will be officially launched in the second half of this year. However, pictures of the interior of the car have recently leaked online.
One of the greatest highlights from the pictures is the Yoke steering wheel, which avoids blocking the view of the instrument and the center control screen. In addition, the car adopts a multi-colored lighting scheme while maintaining a triple screen and a single screen design. The screen in the center control area is connected to the center console, and behind it are wireless charging ports for cell phones and a cup holder.
The new vehicle is positioned as a middle to large SUV with a 5-seat layout, of which the rear seats adopt a two-tone color scheme. On top of the steering wheel seems to be an infrared camera, which may act as a monitoring device for a variety of functions such as face recognition and fatigue levels.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the IM LS7 single motor version are 5049/2002/1731mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3060mm. The dual-motor version has the same measurements but its height reaches 1773mm.
The undercover photos exposing the IM LS7 show that the vehicle’s roof features lidar and two cameras, suggesting the version is the dual-motor version.
In terms of power, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,, the single-motor model adopts a rear-drive layout, has 250kW maximum power, 475N·m maximum torque, 660km range, and a battery system with the energy density of 195Wh/kg. Further, it consumes 16.2kWh of electricity for 100km under working conditions.
