On November 20, Pony.ai announced a new collaboration agreement with Chinese mobility technology platform ONTIME to jointly accelerate the commercial deployment of autonomous driving technologies on a larger scale in China.

As commercial mass rollout approaches, the two firms will be able to test different forms of collaboration to quickly implement Pony.ai Robotaxi along the ONTIME platform.

Pony.ai was established at the end of 2016. At present, its team includes more than 500 employees. ONTIME, Chinese ride-hailing services provider backed by GAC Group, offers a wide range of app-based services across core cities in China’s Greater Bay Area, such as Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Dongguan.
