Qwen debuts “Chat Memory,” letting its AI remember user-approved details across sessions for more personalized, context-aware answers.

On Oct. 16, 2025, Alibaba’s Qwen team announced Chat Memory, a feature that lets its AI assistant remember user-approved details across sessions to deliver more personalized, context-aware replies. The team said the capability is designed to understand ongoing context, save important facts a user asks it to remember, and recall those details in future conversations.

According to Qwen’s announcement, Chat Memory focuses on explicit, user-controlled memories: users choose what to store, and the assistant links those memories to later prompts to reduce repetition and streamline tasks. The feature is rolling out to Qwen users, with broader availability to follow.

Qwen has been expanding its model family and tooling in recent months, positioning Chat Memory as a foundation for more consistent, personalized agent behavior across apps and services built on the Qwen stack.
