Robotera has signed a strategic partnership with UNIDO to co-build a global embodied-intelligence ecosystem, including a joint humanoid-robotics lab advancing SDG-9 innovation.

At the 21st Session of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Industrial Development Board, held recently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Chinese embodied-intelligence company Robotera announced a strategic partnership with UNIDO—becoming the only Chinese company in its category to secure such an agreement at the event.

Under the partnership, the two sides will collaborate deeply in the fields of humanoid robotics and embodied-intelligence innovation. The agreement outlines three major cooperation tracks:

  1. Technology Deployment: Focus on high-demand scenarios in manufacturing, logistics, and commercial services to develop industry solutions aimed at lowering the barriers for SMEs seeking intelligent transformation.
  2. Global Coordination: Leverage UNIDO's international network to advance cross-border projects and technology sharing in humanoid robotics.
  3. Ecosystem Building: Using the Beijing Center of Excellence for Digital Economy (CoE) as a platform, the partners plan to co-establish a Joint Embodied Intelligence Laboratory and expand a multi-stakeholder collaboration network.

Robotera founder Chen Jianyu said the partnership aims to transform embodied intelligence into a new form of industrial infrastructure, supporting the United Nations' SDG 9 goals on industry, innovation, and infrastructure, and promoting inclusive industrial development.
