Sazhi Intelligence secures hundreds of millions RMB in A++ and A+++ rounds led by Haitong Kaiyuan and Guoyuan Equity to accelerate R&D and global expansion of its embodied intelligence robots for flexible manufacturing.

Sazhi Intelligence, a Shanghai-based embodied intelligence robot company founded in 2018, has recently closed its A++ and A+++ funding rounds, totaling hundreds of millions RMB, led by Haitong Kaiyuan and Guoyuan Equity.

Funds will primarily support:

  • Technology R&D (40%)
  • Overseas market expansion (30%)
  • Intelligent manufacturing line construction (15–20%)
  • Working capital

The company’s core products include single/dual/quad-arm robots and AMR mobile robots. Its self-developed SAGE-OS operating system and SAGE-Brain integrated controller form a three-layer “body-group-scale” architecture, fusing multimodal perception and VLAS large models to achieve ±0.05mm assembly detection accuracy in dynamic industrial scenarios, addressing flexibility and intelligence bottlenecks in traditional automation.

Products are deployed in high-end discrete manufacturing, serving automotive parts, 3C electronics, and biopharma, with clients like Li Auto, Johnson & Johnson, and Mitsubishi. Annual shipments reach ~1,000 units, with capacity expansion planned to 5,000/year. Sazhi has maintained profitability, with revenue growing 50–120% annually and projecting 300% next year.

Founder and CEO Zhang Jianzheng, a Shanghai Jiao Tong University robotics PhD with 21 years of experience (previously leading 3D vision hand-eye systems for automotive), heads a team averaging over 15 years from Fanuc and ABB. Zhang aims to replace fixed equipment with mobile multi-space robots, advancing three key intelligent technologies and targeting 50% overseas revenue.

Investors praise Sazhi’s technology landing and scenario fit, positioning it as a driver in the trillion-RMB industrial robot market amid global flexible manufacturing trends.
