Sensor Tower Releases Chinese Mobile Gaming Market January 2020 Report
Sensor Tower, a mobile app marketing intelligence firm, released their report on the global mobile gaming market for January of 2020. Chinese developers including Tencent, NetEase, and and Lilith Games were in the list of top 5 developers worldwide along with Playrix and King.
Lilith Games cracked the top 5 after finishing 12th in last year’s edition. The company’s rise stemmed largely from the success of one adventure RPG title, resulting in almost double the revenue compared to December 2019.

One successful game title includes One Punch Man, which helped Zhangqu Technology improve their revenue by 95.3% compared to last month. Many titles benefitted in January from success in overseas markets like South Korea and Japan.
Over the Lunar New Year period at the end of January, Chinese mobile gamers enjoyed an extended holiday due to concerns over coronavirus spread. The additional free time indoors has resulted in significant increases in online gaming and content usage.
