Alibaba’s Quark has launched its most affordable AI glasses yet, signaling a major push to bring everyday, wearable AI to the mass market.

December 22, 2025 — Alibaba’s Qwen Consumer AI Business Group has officially unveiled the Quark AI Glasses and opened pre-orders. The entry-level G1 Fashion Browline model starts at just $284, significantly lowering the cost of accessing always-on, wearable AI. Meanwhile, the flagship S1 series adds a new round-frame tortoiseshell colorway.

Despite its budget-friendly price, the G1 delivers the same core hardware as the S1. It is powered by the Qwen AI assistant, enabling seamless, cross-scenario access to Alibaba’s ecosystem services. The glasses feature a dual-flagship-chip, dual-system architecture, a five-microphone array combined with bone-conduction pickup, and large-driver speakers, supporting AI voice interaction, real-time translation, and more.

Weighing only around 40 grams, the G1 is designed for all-day comfort, with an adjustable frame structure and food-grade silicone nose pads. Its display-free design offers greater flexibility for prescription lenses, including blue-light filtering and smart photochromic options.

On the imaging side, the glasses incorporate smartphone-grade camera technology, enabling 0.6-second quick capture, 3K video recording, and 4K output, making hands-free content creation effortless.

The S1 series’ new colorway retains its strengths in display technology, comfort, and imaging, with a classic design suited to everyday wear. Since its initial release, the S1 has seen strong demand, prompting Quark to expand production capacity by adding new manufacturing lines.

Both the G1 and S1 models are now available for pre-order via Tmall, Douyin, and other online platforms. Offline services will roll out across 604 retail locations in 82 cities across China, with store information accessible through the Quark AI Glasses WeChat service account.

The launch underscores Alibaba’s ambition to accelerate AI glasses adoption and build a comprehensive, all-scenario AI assistant ecosystem.
