Aibee, a company focused on applying digitalized and intelligent AI solutions to the physical world, announced on Friday that it has completed a new round of strategic investment led by Xiaomi and followed by China Merchants Capital.

In January 2018, Aibee completed angel round financing totaling 165 million yuan ($26 million) from China Growth Capital.

\n\n\n\n

Founded in November 2017, Aibee took the lead in advocating the \"OOO\" (Offline Online One-world) AI solution in China, and positioned itself as the \"Offline-Online-Connector.\" It integrated AI technologies such as computer vision, big data analysis and robotics to help offline stores realize intelligent operations and management.

\n\n\n\n

Before this strategic investment in Aibee, Xiaomi's Mi Home has reached a comprehensive cooperation arrangement with Aibee for store digitalization. Within two months, Aibee has helped Xiaomi upgrade 300 offline stores.

\n\n\n\n

Aibee now focuses on five business scenarios: shopping centers, brand chain stores, airports, tourist spots and high-speed railway stations. The firm has also developed an efficient robot 3D scanning technology, bringing static objects and dynamic people and vehicles into an integrated system of digital analysis.

\n\n\n\n

In terms of transportation, Aibee has reached in-depth cooperation with Beijing Capital Airport, Beijing Daxing Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and other large airports, creating an intelligent video analysis system, AI pandemic prevention and control system, AI fast boarding system and intelligent temperature measurement system.

\n\n\n\n

In addition, more than 350 top tourist spots in China, including Universal Beijing Resort, Gubei Water Town and Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, have joined hands with Aibee to create applications for admissions and visitor flow control.

\n\n\n\n

In the future, Aibee will seek to empower enterprises and consumers with its products. On the enterprise side, digitalization can help with the efficient operation of stores and shopping malls, for example by optimizing product storage and guiding customers using data. Regarding the consumer side, AR/VR maps can help them accurately locate and navigate in indoor spaces without needing GPS.
