The second phase of Envision AESC Group's battery manufacturing base started construction in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on Monday, with a planned production capacity exceeding 15GWh and a mass-production plan in 2023.

Zhang Lei, CEO of Envision AESC, spoke about the company's development plans, \"The products produced by the project will be sold all over the world to meet the power battery demand of leading car manufacturers in Germany, Britain, France, Japan and other countries. In addition, the project will become our most advanced benchmark factory and be replicated globally.\"

\n\n\n\n

After mass production, the base will supply EV maker Renault's overseas new generation electric vehicle platform. In June 2021, Envision AESC became Renault's strategic partner and promised to provide the company with a 5-year order for 40GWh to 120GWh power batteries.

\n\n\n\n

Up to now, Envision AESC Group has laid out seven production bases and several R&D and engineering centers in China, Japan, the United States, France and the United Kingdom. It is estimated that its global production capacity will exceed 200GWh by 2025.

\n\n\n\n

The power battery production base located in its zero carbon industrial park in Ordos City will be completed and put into operation in April 2022. The station has a a planned power battery and energy storage battery capacity of 20GWh.

Within the company's industrial park, the upstream and downstream integrated industrial chains such as power batteries and energy storage, electric heavy trucks, battery materials and green hydrogen production materials have been laid out. Relying on solutions covering wind power, photovoltaic, energy storage, hydrogen production, carbon management, power trading and other fields, the company was able to a complete a zero carbon production loop.

In the past year, battery companies have won international orders and reached long-term cooperation agreements with overseas customers, including CATL, Svolt, Farasis Energy, BYD, China Aviation Lithium Battery Technology, Gotion Hi-Tech, and others.
