The Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan, commissioned by the Chinese government on January 24, was completed on February 2 and started accepting patients on February 3.

The hospital was built to treat patients infected with the novel coronavirus known as 2019-nCov that has spread throughout the Lunar New Year period. The new facility is already equipped with an intensive care unit, operating rooms, negative pressure test rooms and other necessary amenities.

Chinese tech companies also played a role in bringing the project to life. Telecom giant Huawei provided technical support during the construction of the hospital. On the evening of January 31, Huawei and China Telecom jointly laid network cables and completed equipment debugging, creating what will become the basis for a new \"remote consultation platform\" that aims to connect specialists with potential patients in other impacted areas.

On January 25, the creation of another new coronavirus pneumonia treatment hospital began. A staff member of China Railway Investment Corporation responsible for the construction of the Leishenshan Hospital project revealed that it is expected to be completed on February 5.
