Globally prominent photovoltaic module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. on Monday completed the IPO of its subsidiary, Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. (Jiangxi Jinko) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, or STAR Market. Jiangxi Jinko plans to issue 2 billion shares at 5 yuan ($0.79) apiece. According to the firm's previous prospectus, it aims to raise 6 billion yuan, while the actual net fundraising amount reaches 9.725 billion yuan, which is about 1.62 times higher than the original plan.

The prospectus shows that JinkoSolar was established in 2006, and is mainly engaged in the R&D, production and sales of solar photovoltaic modules, cells and silicon wafers. In 2010, JinkoSolar was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

For today's IPO on Shanghai's STAR Market, JinkoSolar planned to raise 6 billion yuan, among which 4 billion yuan is to be used for the construction of 7.5 GW high-efficiency batteries and 5GW high-efficiency battery components; 500 million yuan for the construction of R&D centers; and 1.5 billion yuan as supplementary working capital. According to industry insiders, with the further in-depth layout of JinkoSolar's global marketing network and integrated supply chain, it is expected to achieve 50% shipment growth in 2022.

According to preliminary estimates, the company expects operating income in 2021 to fall between 36 and 38.5 billion yuan. Meanwhile, it is estimated that the firm's net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company will be between 830 and 870 million yuan. In terms of revenue scale, JinkoSolar is second only to LONGi Group and Tongwei Group in the A-share market.

According to GlobalData, the company ranked first in global PV module shipments for four consecutive years from 2016 through 2019. According to a document entitled \"The top 10 PV module suppliers in 2021\" recently released by PV-Tech, JinkoSolar ranked fourth among global photovoltaic module shippers in 2021, falling behind LONGi Solar, Trina Solar and JA Solar. Data show that the cumulative component shipments of the company exceeded 80GW as of the end of the first half of 2021.
