Tang En Technology, a commercial-use cleaning robot company, has recently completed tens of millions of yuan in an angel round and pre-A round of financing, with Country Garden Venture Capital serving as lead investor and WaveFront Ventures providing joint investment. These rounds of financing will be used for the construction of its own factories, the research and development of new products and marketing.

Founded in December 2020, Tang En Technology is focused on the R&D and manufacturing of cleaning robots for use in commercial settings, and is also a technical partner of German cleaning appliance giant Kärcher.

At present, Tang En's product line includes indoor floor washers and sweepers in small, medium and large sizes, as well as medium and large-sized floor sweepers for outside use. The implementation scenarios include residential buildings, commercial real estate, bank hospitals, airport stations, industrial parks, production factories, office buildings and so on.

Recently, Tang En Technology and Kärcher launched the third generation AI cleaning robot KIRA BD 50/50, which is equipped with more than 40 sensors to help the robot realize a variety of perception capabilities such as vision, touch and depth perception.

The running speed of its cleaning robot can reach 1.2 m/s, and its working efficiency is 20%-50% higher than that of similar products in the market. In addition, through the use of laser and vision fusion positioning technology, higher positioning accuracy and reliability are achieved, and it has stronger adaptability to layout changes and pedestrian interference.

Cui Miwei, the founder of the company, said: \"Tang En has deep accumulation in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, which can better integrate the intelligent system team and the sensor team, and achieve self-research of algorithms, control platforms and sensors.\"

There is ample market space for commercial cleaning services. According to the 2021 China business-use Service Robot Market Research Report, the labor cost and penetration rate of commercial cleaning robots in the commercial cleaning market will reach 5.81 billion yuan ($913 million) in 2020, up 120.0% year-on-year. By 2025, the market size will reach 74.91 billion yuan.
