Chinese electronics company Xiaomi’s co-founder and president Lin Bin teases a three-panel foldable phone on China’s social media platform Weibo. Lin claims it to be the world’s first double folding smartphone.
Xiaomi debuted its sub-brand Redmi with the launch of the new budget phone Redmi Note 7. The phone sells for less than $150 and comes with a 48MP camera.
Xiaomi announced on Jan. 3 that Redmi will become a sub-brand of the company via an image on its official website.
Xiaomi surpassed Samsung as the largest smartphone brand in India in January and announced a product release conference in New Delhi on February 14.
