On Jan. 15, China’s leading mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI) startup Rokid revealed its latest binocular MR glasses, Rokid Vision 2, at Rokid Open Day’s online event.

Combined with AR and AI capabilities, Rokid Vision 2 features dual directional speakers and advanced MR technology to provide users with the ultimate immersive experience. Like ordinary glasses, Rokid Vision 2 is lightweight and foldable. The glasses are also compatible with various kinds of user interfaces, including phones, laptops, gaming consoles, and tablets.

The glasses display uses the world's leading diffractive optical waveguide technology with a light transmittance of 85% and a 40° field of view (FoV), equivalent to viewing a 120-inch TV that is 4 meters away. Rokid Vision 2 also is equipped with brand new self-developed applications that support spatial interaction such as Fantasy World, Holographic Cinema, and Virtual City.

In the past year, Rokid XR software system has been a huge hit among cross reality (XR) fans. Rokid released SXR SDK, providing technologies and services such as multimodal interaction, stereo rendering, visual engine, and multimedia engine, where developers can work with it on Android and Unity. Currently, Rokid XR software system supports several mainstream hardware platforms, including HiSilcon, Amlogic, Qualcomm, etc. In the future, Rokid plans to support its software on more hardware devices to build an XR ecosystem with partners and developers.

The newly-released Rokid Vision 2 is planning to expand its applictaion scenarious in many industries, including cultural tourism, exhibition and museums, and the medical and health industry.
