This past July, Taiwanese actor, singer and race car driver Jimmy Lin was involved in an accident while driving a white Tesla Model X. On October 15, Lin accepted an interview with the media during which he publicly recalled the details of the accident for the first time.
On January 6, the starting prices of Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y in China dropped to 229,900 yuan ($33,458) and 259,900 yuan ($37,825) respectively, the lowest prices ever for both vehicles, with an estimated delivery period of one to four weeks.
Taiwanese singer, actor, and race car driver Jimmy Lin was injured in a car crash while driving a Tesla Model X in Taiwan. Lin was driving the vehicle with his son, but lost control of the car and crashed into a road barrier, causing the Tesla model to catch fire.
Tesla announced on May 5th that it would increase the prices of Model S and Model X by 19,000 yuan ($2,747) effective immediately in China. As a result, the starting price for Model S is now 808,900 yuan while the starting price for Model X is 898,900 yuan.
