Its new e-platform 3.0 models will be equipped with this technology.

Generally speaking, in order to maintain vehicle stability, it is necessary to monitor the running state of the vehicle in real time. In the past, this was achieved through wheel sensors to monitor the change of speed. If the wheel speed on one side rises sharply, the side may slip and the braking system kicks in.

A wheel-speed sensor divides each turn of wheel end into 32 or 48 acquisition bits, which has low information acquisition accuracy and cannot meet the requirements of electric vehicles. However, iTAC technology can leverage the motor resolver sensor, dividing it into 4096 acquisition bits, which greatly improves the speed and accuracy of information acquisition.

In terms of response speed, the recognition accuracy of iTAC has been improved by more than 300 times, and changing wheel speeds can be predicted more than 50ms in advance. When the grip of the wheel end is abnormal but there is no slipping, the system can already recognize and adjust it in advance, restoring the stability of the vehicle.

Conventional technology can only control the vehicle by braking to reduce torque when encountering a skid. On the basis of pre-judgment, the iTAC system provides various ways to control the car, such as transferring torque, appropriately reducing torque and outputting negative torque with fast motor response speed and more accurate speed adjustment.

In addition, in order to verify the safety and maneuverability of the iTAC system for driving on low-adhesion road surfaces, the firm has conducted comprehensive performance tests in extremely cold environments. The results show that iTAC tecnology can effectively improve the ultimate performance of vehicles on low-adhesion roads, so that instead of just professional racers, ordinary consumers can also enjoy driving high-tech vehicles.
