On Monday, China's Ministry of Education announced some of the results for the pilot districts of its \"Double Reduction\" policy. Unlicensed training institutions in Beijing have been reduced by 98%, while all kind of training institutions have been decreased by 60%. Twelve districts have eliminated all unlicensed training institutions.

Beijing has insisted on quickly firming up the government's Double Reduction policy, issuing the \"1+1+3 standard\". The numbers in the equation refer to the supervision mechanism of prepaid funds, the management of an institution's license, and the overall operation of training institutions.

\n\n\n\n

Beijing has also established a special management platform to help manage funds, students, teachers, courses and institutions. Up to now, more than 120 institutions have been notified, a number of teachers have been removed from teaching posts, and several illegal enterprises have been heavily fined more than 15 million yuan. The government has acted quickly in remodelling the after-school training institutions' marketing methods and has stopped broadcasting training institution advertisements in municipal media and other public places.
