The BYD Yuan Plus, the first A-class SUV from the Shenzhen-based company's all-electric e-platform 3.0, on February 19 simultaneously entered the Chinese and Australian markets. The model is named the ATTO 3 in Australia.

The Yuan Plus is currently available in China in five versions, with a price range between 131,800 yuan to 159,800 yuan ($20,836 to $25,262). The model was named ATTO 3 after entering the Australian market. ATTO is inspired by Attosecond, the smallest time unit in physics. The two new cars in Australia are priced between 44,990 Australian dollars and 47,990 Australian dollars ($32,415 and $34,578).

The ATTO 3 is equipped with a blade battery and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. The e-platform 3.0 is specially designed for new energy vehicles, which solves the shortcomings in safety and battery life. At the same time, for the Australian market, ATTO 3 adapts an overseas app ecosystem.

BYD is accelerating its overseas expansion. BYD and UzAuto, the largest vehicle manufacturer in Central Asia, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to develop, produce and popularize new energy vehicles in Uzbekistan.

UzAuto is the only manufacturer of a full range of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Central Asia and has a strong sales and after-sales network. Uzbekistan has the largest population in Central Asia, rich mineral resources, diversified renewable energy, and a relatively complete automotive industry chain, which is of great significance for BYD's global layout of new energy vehicles.
