The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype is a track prototype based on the Xiaomi SU7 battery electric architecture, but it is not entirely a custom model designed solely for 'lap time' performance; it holds a more significant meaning. Its core hardware and body structure are independently designed and developed by Xiaomi Auto: the super motor V8s it is equipped with is entirely self-developed by Xiaomi, and the entire vehicle's thermal management system, electric drive controller, battery controller, and other components are also independently designed and developed by Xiaomi Auto.

At the Xiaomi automotive technology launch event at the end of 2023, the Xiaomi SU7 was released alongside the brand new pure electric architecture developed from scratch by Xiaomi. This pure electric architecture features high integration, large bandwidth, and ultra-high rigidity, with an overall vehicle torsional rigidity of 51,000 N·m/deg. The 'Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype' was developed directly based on this architecture, with the cage-like body structure serving as the core of the architecture.

The 'Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype' features a high-rigidity cage body that shares its origin with the Xiaomi SU7, including ultra-high-strength steel with a yield strength of up to 2000MPa. It is paired with a cage roll bar welded to the vehicle's frame that meets FIA race regulations.

The Xiaomi SU7 uses CTB integrated battery technology, with a battery pack volume efficiency of up to 77.8%, and can support a maximum battery capacity of 150kWh.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype also adopts CTB battery technology, enabling a track-specific high-power battery with a discharge power of 1330 kW. With designs such as thinner electrode sheets, this battery can still output over 800 kW of power at 20% low battery.

The Xiaomi Super Motor series has launched two generations of products: the first generation V6 and V6s super motors are already in mass production and installed on the Xiaomi SU7; the second generation V8s motor has also been first installed on the 'Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype vehicle'.

The mass-produced Xiaomi super motors V6 and V6s can both reach high speeds of 21,000 rpm, with maximum power outputs of 220 kW and 275 kW, respectively.

The Xiaomi Super Motor V8s is the first motor fully developed in-house by Xiaomi Auto. After the redesign of the rotor and stator and material upgrades, the V8s has achieved a maximum speed of 27,200 rpm, currently the highest among mass-produced motors, with a power output of 425 kW (578 PS). At the same time, the Xiaomi Super Motor V8s has also achieved a maximum efficiency of 98.11% and an ultra-high power density of 10.14 kW/kg, with performance comparable to that of a large V8 engine in gasoline vehicles.
