Zoom CEO Eric Yuan announced plans to lay off 1,300 employees, accounting for 15% of its global staff. A number of current and former Zoom employees have confirmed that the layoffs have already started in Zoom's several offices in China.
US-based video conferencing platform Zoom will stop direct sales in mainland China from Aug. 23, and will only offer its services via third-party partners.
