Great Wall’s Tank 300 Hi4-T plug-in hybrid off-roader receives a major power, torque, charging-speed and efficiency upgrade while keeping the same USD 35,331 price tag.

December 4, 2025 — The Tank brand has updated the configuration of its rugged new-energy off-road model, the Tank 300 Hi4-T, while keeping the price unchanged at USD 35,331. The upgrade introduces multiple improvements to the vehicle’s electric-drive system and overall user experience.

The model continues to use a plug-in hybrid setup combining a 2.0T gasoline engine (252 hp, 380 Nm) with an electric motor. The motor output has been increased from 120 kW to 130 kW, and peak torque has been boosted from 400 Nm to 495 Nm. The system’s combined output now reaches 310 kW, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive system, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.7 seconds.

The battery pack has been slightly adjusted from 37.1 kWh to 36.7 kWh, with the supplier switching from SVOLT to CATL. Despite the change, the WLTC all-electric range remains 105 km, while fuel consumption in depleted-battery mode drops from 8.8 L/100km to 8.4 L. Fast-charging time has been shortened from 24 minutes to 16 minutes, while slow charging remains at 6.5 hours.

In terms of off-road capability, the updated model features a 32° approach angle, 33° departure angle, 222 mm ground clearance, and 700 mm wading depth. It also includes a rear differential lock (front lock optional), low-range 4WD, and crawl mode. Inside, the vehicle retains a 14.6-inch central display and Qualcomm 8155 chip, while the leather front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The broader Tank 300 lineup continues to include three powertrains: 2.0T gasoline, 2.4T diesel, and the Hi4-T PHEV.
