The deals include:
- Razer will help to produce a co-branded gaming peripherals line, which will feature mice, mousepads, keyboards, and headphones.
- SKG will create a co-branded electronic neck-massager.
- ASUS intends to create a co-branded wi-fi router, designed to accelerate Tencent-related mobile games.
- Kappa will produce a co-branded apparel line called K-SPIRIT.
- Tim Hortons will establish a Tencent Esports-themed restaurant, the first of which will open in Shanghai sometime in November.
All co-branded products will be available to the public for purchase. The “Razer X Tencent Esports” peripherals line has already been available for sale through Razer’s Jing Dong e-commerce site. In addition, these co-branded products, with the exception of Tim Hortons, were showcased behind the main stage during the summit.
Jie Yun, head of Tencent Games and Tencent Esports, also revealed that the company will host a 1,300 square meter esports exploration hall. Called the Tencent Esports V-Station, it will be housed in Shanghai Zhengda Square’s ninth floor, adjacent to the Oriental Pearl Tower, from Oct. 1 – Nov. 26.
According to Tencent’s official announcement, Kappa’s K-SPIRIT apparel will be available for purchase at the Tencent Esports V-Station. The products will include the team jersey for players at Tencent Global Esports Arena (TGA). Hou said at the summit that this year’s TGA will operate provincial teams as participating units, instead of independent teams, and will feature League of Legends, Honor of Kings, and FIFA Online 4 as the esports titles.
