Tencent has officially launched the Hunyuan 3D 3.0 AI model, marking a significant advancement in 3D modeling technology. The new model boasts a threefold increase in modeling accuracy, achieving a geometric resolution of up to 1536³ and supporting voxel modeling with 3.6 billion units.
Key Features of Hunyuan 3D 3.0:
Enhanced Modeling Precision: The introduction of the 3D-DiT hierarchical sculpting model addresses the challenge of balancing overall structure, regularity, and local detail. This innovation enables ultra-high-definition 3D geometry generation with sharp edges and clear details, maintaining state-of-the-art industry standards.
Optimized Character Modeling: Specific optimizations have been made for character generation, resulting in more refined facial features, clearer contours, and more natural body postures.
Advanced Geometric Structure Generation: The model employs a hierarchical generation strategy, constructing base structures before gradually refining details. This approach, combined with enhanced data processing techniques, improves the understanding and reconstruction of occluded areas.
Improved Texture Mapping: Enhancements in texture adherence and geometric alignment ensure more accurate texture mapping, delivering realistic and detailed surface textures.
Accessibility and Integration:
Hunyuan 3D 3.0 is integrated into the Hunyuan 3D AI Creation Engine and is now freely accessible to users. Additionally, Tencent Cloud has released an API to facilitate integration into various applications.
For professional users, the Hunyuan 3D Studio professional-grade AI workstation has commenced an invite-only beta test. This platform covers seven core components of the 3D pipeline, including 3D component generation, UV unwrapping, and skinning, allowing users to apply for an experience through the Hunyuan 3D Creation Engine.
Looking ahead, Tencent plans to open-source the Hunyuan 3D Omni model, which supports multi-condition control, further promoting innovation in 3D generation technology for academic research and industrial applications.
