Tesla has Deployed Over 11,500 Supercharger Stations in China with an Availability Rate Exceeding 99.5%
Tesla continues to rapidly expand its charging business in China. Official data shows that over 11,500 Tesla Supercharger stations have been built nationwide, with an availability rate exceeding 99.5%; a 15-minute charge can replenish approximately 250 kilometers of range.
Including third-party charging stations, there are over 10.24 million charging stations available for Tesla owners nationwide, which is five times the number of petrol pumps.
Previously released data from Tesla shows that as of May this year, the number of Supercharger stations available for use in mainland China has exceeded 1,950. Tesla’s charging network has achieved 100% coverage in all provincial capitals and municipalities in mainland China.
In addition, Tesla continues to promote the industry’s transition from ‘oil to electricity’. In April 2023, Tesla began a pilot program in mainland China to open its charging stations to some non-Tesla brand new energy vehicles. As of May this year, Tesla has opened over 450 Supercharger stations and over 350 destination charging stations in mainland China, covering 100% of all provinces.
As of June this year, Tesla has established 520 direct-sale stores in 83 cities in mainland China; and 297 Tesla-operated and authorized body repair centers in 180 cities across mainland China.
