The Next ASUS Zenfone Might Have a Notch-Less Screen With Dual Sliders
It seems like slider phones are making their way back to the cell phone arena with a new look as Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 3, Lenovo’s Z5 Pro and Honor’s Magic 2 all adopt a slider mechanism to match the full screen design. ASUS might join the circle with its upcoming ASUS Zenfone according to leaked photos on Twitter.

The photos demonstrate two renders of a dual-slider smartphone. In both concept pics, the new Zenfone, could slide either downward or upward to reveal a selfie camera and two LED flashes on the top or a Harman Kardon speaker on the bottom. The two versions differ in terms of the camera and flash setup on the top. No official name has been announced yet.

Based on the photos, the smartphone will adopt a dual-camera setup both on the front and the back, including a 120 degree wide angle lens on the front. There’s no sign of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which might indicate an in-display reader.
In addition, the new model is reported to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship platform, which is 7nm octa-core processor that features a Adreno 640 GPU. It’s also very likely that it will support 5G network and even the 5G Network of US carriers.
