RayNeo Thunderbird Innovation Technology has raised a record-breaking Series C round—the largest in China’s AI+AR glasses sector in 2025—to accelerate global expansion and strengthen its lead in consumer AR technology.
RayNeo Thunderbird Innovation Technology has completed a new round of financing led by CITIC Jinshi, with participation from CITIC Securities International Capital and CITIC Securities Investment. The Series C funding marks the largest single investment in China’s AI+AR glasses sector in 2025, aimed at accelerating R&D and ecosystem expansion while strengthening the company’s global leadership in consumer-grade AI+AR eyewear.
Founded in October 2021, RayNeo has quickly established itself as a global frontrunner in AR technology, with deep expertise in near-eye optical display design, AI algorithm development, and multimodal human-computer interaction. It is the only AR company with fully in-house optical R&D and mass-production capabilities, and the first worldwide to achieve large-scale production of binocular full-color MicroLED AR glasses.

The company’s product lineup spans the X Series AI+AR glasses, the Air Series cinematic glasses, and the V Series AI camera glasses. The X Series broke industry barriers with its full-color MicroLED + waveguide technology, becoming the first mass-produced model of its kind. The Air Series has topped China’s consumer AR glasses sales charts for three consecutive years, known for its superior display and audio experience. Meanwhile, the V Series integrates AI-powered photography, supported by RayNeo’s proprietary large-model AI platform.
RayNeo’s products are now available in over 25 countries and regions. According to Counterpoint Research, in Q2 2025, the company captured 39% of the global AR glasses market, ranking No.1 worldwide — after maintaining the top spot in China for more than three consecutive years.
