Regarding the media report “Douyin abandons food delivery,” the person in charge of Douyin‘s lifestyle services stated that this information is untrue, and that Douyin’s group purchasing and delivery business is operating normally.

The person in charge mentioned that based on the previous trial period in three cities, Douyin’s group purchasing and delivery business has been fully launched in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Changsha, and Linyi since July. They have also introduced a regional agency model and plan to expand to more cities in September as the second batch.
