Time Magazine Names Robin Li Global AI Leader

On the evening of September 7th, Time Magazine released its first annual list of the world’s top 100 AI figures. Robin Li, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Baidu, Inc., was recognized as a global leader in AI.

Time Magazine recognized Robin Li’s long-term investment in AI and Baidu, Inc.’s numerous achievements in the field of AI, “As China’s foremost futurist, Robin Li has been riding the AI wave for a long time.”

This is the first time that Time Magazine has selected the top 100 AI figures worldwide. The magazine wrote, “Behind every advancement in machine learning and large language models are actually humans.” Robin Li, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Baidu, is the only Chinese entrepreneur included in this list.

According to an article in Time Magazine, the list brings together leaders, innovators, shapers, and thinkers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The magazine recognizes the significant influence of these 100 individuals on the AI industry. In the commentary accompanying the list, the editor-in-chief of Time Magazine wrote, “Their insights, aspirations, and flaws will determine the direction of this increasingly influential technology.”
