Top Upcoming Smartphones Launching in September 2019
If you are planning to buy a new smartphone right now, you might want to consider holding off just a little longer. Because there are some exciting new Android phones and iPhones coming out in September.
Here are some of the most highly anticipated smartphones that are due to launch next month.
Huawei Mate 30
Huawei‘s official Twitter account has published a teaser video that it will be revealing its highly anticipated new Mate 30 series flagships in Munich, Germany on September 19.
Unverified leaks indicate that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro phone will feature a quadruple camera setup housed in a large circular module and a “waterfall” display with extremely curved edges. Chinese media have speculated that the quad-cam setup will accommodate two 40MP primary sensors, a 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. And it also rumored that the Mate 30 series will be a 5G phone.
Realme Q
Realme, Chinese big smartphone manufacturer OPPO’s sub-brand, has confirmed that it will launch a Q series smartphone on September 5 in China. According to posts on Weibo, the upcoming Realme Q will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 mobile platform and a quadruple camera setup using Sony’s 48MP IMX586 as the primary sensor. As for the price, the company hinted that the new phone will be in the triple-digit ranges, likely around 999 yuan (~$140).
OPPO Reno 2
The successor to OPPO’s latest Reno series flagships, OPPO Reno 2 has recently been launched in New Delhi, India on August 28 and scheduled to be unveiled in China on September 10. The phone has three variants: the Reno 2, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F.
Reno 2 features a large 6.5-inch panoramic display with an impressive 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. It has a shark-fin rising camera just like its predecessor and a rear 48MP quadruple camera setup with 20X zoom. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, and houses a 4000mAh battery and supports OPPO’s own VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
Vivo NEX 3 5G
Vivo NEX 3 5G will be unveiled on September 16. According to leaked information and vivo‘s official teaser video, it would sport a boundless waterfall display with a whopping 99.6% screen-to-body ratio, a pop-up selfie camera and a rear triple-camera setup with a circular design. It also comes with the highly demanded 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, a rather scary 44W super flash charge and 4G/5G dual card SIM tray.

iPhone 11 series
Apple has sent out invitations for its annual September launch event at the Steve Jobs Theater in California on September 10, where the company will be unveiling its highly sought after new iPhone models. It’s rumored that the brand new iPhone 11 series, the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11R and 11 Max, will be released with a more robust performance, an additional lens to the rear camera setup, the new iOS 13 and several new colors. For Apple enthusiasts, it’s definitely worth the wait to not buy a new phone just yet until the new flagships are revealed.
