Antoine and Michel Morcos, co-founders of Ubisoft KETCHAPP, said, "We are happy to enter WeChat now. WeChat provides rich, interesting and challenging games for Chinese players. We have seen the great success of Bottle Flip. Both Ubisoft and WeChat are the most innovative representatives in our respective fields. It's a great pleasure for us to have a strategic cooperation with WeChat. It's very exciting that Ubisoft can be a WeChat game partner, and can provide new experiences for WeChat games.”
Zhang Xiaochao, general manager of WeChat's value-added business, said, "WeChat is very happy to work closely with Ubisoft. We will bring a series of high-quality small games to WeChat users. WeChat welcomes leading game companies like Ubisoft to join small games. Ubisoft is excellent in game development and abundant experience. This will help WeChat to develop small games and improve user experience. This is also the first step for WeChat to introduce more quality third parties to small games."
WeChat had 980 million active users at the end of the third quarter of 2017. Since it launched Mini Programs on January 9, 2017, it has received wide attention from third-party developers. Small games are a new category by WeChat. They have been highly welcomed by users and show a new form of social interaction that is convenient and doesn't require downloading.
